🚀 The final (and most surprising) key to crushing your Nerves!

Hi Reader,

Before I dive in to my previously drafted communication…

I’ve gone back and forth about whether to send this email – or any email – given everything that’s unfolding right now—especially here in Los Angeles, but also in the United States and the World. The ICE raids, the fear, the heartbreak… it’s really awful. I'm heartbroken and have been feeling the tension between showing up and staying silent, wondering if sharing anything in this moment feels icky and wrong.

But what I keep landing on is: we don’t need less community right now—we need more. I need more. So I’m going to continue to show up, to create, and to connect with you. I hope that feels okay for you. And if you want to reply, share what’s on your heart, or ask me to hit pause—I’m here for that too.

Ok. Onto my previously scheduled email....

This is the final step in Crushing your Nerves. 🏁

You’ve reframed your nerves (Part 1 🧠), used them to your advantage (Part 2 🔥), even outsmarted them (Part 3 🕵️‍♀️)…

But there’s one last thing that changed everything for me. And it’s probably not what you’re expecting.

This step? It’s tender 💗. It’s weird (in a good way 🌀). It’s wildly powerful 💥.

And yes—it involves walking up a marble staircase, facing a mean little voice in my head 👹, and doing something totally new with it ✨.

Wanna win a $100 Gift Card? 💝

My job as a coach is to make some pretty good guesses of what it's like to be in your shoes, and while I’ve spent a lot of time thinking through my classes and coaching sessions, your perspective on what it actually feels like to be coached is crucial to me. So, I've created a survey that takes about 5–10 minutes. Your responses will help me serve actors with more clarity, impact, and real-world relevance moving forward.

As a thank-you, you’ll be entered to win a $100 gift card to anywhere you choose. And if you prefer to stay anonymous, that’s totally fine too!

🎬 Come See HOMEWRECKER on the Big Screen (This Weekend in LA!)

I’m thrilled to share that Homewrecker is screening this weekend at the Dances With Films Film Festival
🗓️ Friday, June 20, at 7pm at
the iconic TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

This film has been a soul-saver. The biz has tested me in big ways these past few years, but being part of this wild, raw, truth-telling story has reminded me why I keep showing up. It’s messy, emotional, urgent—and I’m damn proud of it.

What’s it about?

HOMEWRECKER follows Megan (played by the brilliant Reilly Anspaugh), a young Angeleno who’s this close to buying her first home—until her stepdad’s legal mess derails everything. What follows is a twisty, desperate attempt to fix what’s broken… by blowing it all up.

The Team:

Cast: Reilly Anspaugh, Daniel Rashid, Bradley Snedeker, Me 🙋🏼‍♀️, Jorji Diaz Fadel, Manny Spero
Written & Directed by: Dante Marino
Shot by: Ross Warr

I’ll be there in person—please come say hi if you’re local!

And if you’re East Coast-based, the film is also headed to The 34th Woods Hole Film Festival on Cape Cod on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 9 PM.

Hot Off My Brain 🧠 & Other Good 💩: A Curated List of Stuff I'm Lovin'
This is what’s currently fueling my brain and heart—stuff I’m using, reading, and repeating on the daily because it’s actually working (and I can’t keep it to myself). Some of these links are affiliate, but I’ll always flag them with a 💸 so you know—and I will only ever share stuff I truly love and actually use. Your trust is worth way more to me than a few ill-gotten shekels towards my lukewarm ass-tasting mushroom latte fund, I swear! ✋🏼

📚 What I’m (re)Reading: On Acting by Sanford Meisner ( 💸 )
→ This one deserved a reread. Total booster shot 💉 for my actor soul. On Acting is essential. It’s like sitting in on a 15-month masterclass with Sandy himself—raw, real, and no B.S. The book captures his legendary technique in action, but what really gets me is the heart in these pages. He’s tough, yes—but also deeply compassionate and hilarious in that cranky-genius way. I come back to it again and again whenever I need to reconnect with the why behind what we do. Total classic. Total keeper.

📺 What I’m Watching: The Membership Free Mini Portal with Sam Valentine & Gabrielle Byndloss
→ If you’ve ever wished you could peek behind the curtain of a working actor’s career-building strategy—this is it. Sam & Gabrielle are the real deal. They’re generous, grounded, and totally mimic my own sentiment that we don’t have to be victims of our acting careers—we get to build businesses even when we’re not booking work. This free mini portal gives you a taste of their full Membership experience: BTS videos, tangible tools, and the kind of honest, actor-to-actor support that makes you feel seen.

I’m not an affiliate—just a huge fan of both these women and the way they lead with heart and strategy. I'm on Sam's email list so this was sent to me and now I'm sharing it with you.

🤓 What I’m nerding out on: Web Design Industry Financial Outlook for 2025
→ This one’s technically for web designers… but it’s packed with insight for any creative thinking about turning their side hustle into something real and revenue-generating. My girl Katelyn (along with Diane Whiddon) just dropped this free survey report that dives into income trends, savings/runway, budgeting habits, and how creatives are actually using AI tools this year.

It’s basically a snapshot of what’s really going on in the online business world—and it got my wheels turning about how we, as actors and artists, can be more intentional about building sustainable, creative careers (even between bookings).

❤️‍🔥 What I’m Loving: Mini Airplants 🌱
→ Full confession: I’ve got a black thumb. I’ve murdered more than one cactus in my day. But these tiny Tillandsia airplants? THRIVING. They’re colorful, adorable, and so low-maintenance it’s honestly rude. No soil, no drama—just a little misting now and then and they’re good to go. If you’re craving a pop of life in your space but can’t keep anything green alive, these are your new best fronds.😉🪴

Ok, done and dusted. Consider this your espresso shot of insight, not a slow-brewed thesis. ☕️

Let me know if you try any of this stuff—I'm curating it for you, so I’d love to know if/how it’s landing. 🛬
Also, if there's anything you're curious about that you think I could shed light on - hit me up! 🤙 I do requests!
