📋 What's actually inside Casting DNA™?

Hi Reader,

A few people have written back asking a version of the same question: "Okay, but what actually happens inside Casting DNA™?"

Fair. It's all on the sales page, but nobody wants to read a sales page on a holiday. So here's the short version!

⚙️ One concept first, because the whole thing runs on it:

When a role gets described in this business, it almost never gets described from scratch. It gets described in shorthand. "We want a Jean Smart type." "We want a Melissa McCarthy type." Two funny women in their fifties — but everyone in the room instantly knows they're not remotely the same. 👩🏻‍🐰‍👩🏾

That's how the industry talks to itself. Reps to casting, casting to directors, all of it. It's faster than describing a whole human being from scratch, and it's the currency whether anyone likes it or not. 🤷🏼‍♀️🫤

Those reference points are what I call your prototypes. So that's where we start.

Once you know your prototypes, they become treasure troves for your strategic material. You stop scrolling for "a good scene" and start hunting in the bodies of work of the actors you're actually adjacent to. 🧬

So. The program is six modules. You work through them at your own pace across the ninety days. (But your access to the lessons is lifetime - like your life, not the network 💁🏼‍♀️)

1. Defining Your Casting DNA™ — You land on your three to five prototypes: how you read on screen, the emotional function you serve in a story, where you genuinely belong. Then we build from here.

2. Curating Your Signature Scenes — You go source two contrasting scenes that show who you are and where you're headed — not a summary of your past credits. This is the module that takes real hunting. 🔦

3. Build the Blueprint — The craft work. You build the inner architecture of a scene: place, relationship, moment before, conflict, what you're competing for. It's a repeatable system. You'll use it on auditions and for actual work for the rest of your career.

4. Make It Happen — Presence and immediacy. Letting the scene actually happen moment to moment instead of performing it. The difference between an actor who's technically correct and an actor nobody in the room can stop watching. 👀

5. Bait & Switch — My name for contradiction. What holds an audience is almost never the thing you're playing on the surface. It's the thing running underneath it — the secret, the resistance, the humor buried in the least funny thing in the scene. 🎣

6. Shoot Day Ready — The practical one. Wardrobe, lighting, sound, eyeline, framing, props, physical action, and your setup. You leave with a shoot-day plan so the footage actually captures what you can do.

Six live calls on Zoom, every other Tuesday, 10 AM–12 PM Pacific.

They're not lectures. You bring whatever's actually in front of you:

  • A question about the program or the work
  • Prototypes or scene ideas you want to talk through or read out loud
  • An audition that just landed and is due Thursday 🚨

Everybody gets the hot seat on every call. Not a rotation, not "if we have time" — my attention, every single call. 🤝

And you do not have to be there live. Send your work or your questions ahead in an email or on video and I'll go through them on the call and you can get your answer/feedback on the replay. Every session is recorded, and the recordings are yours to download and keep. I don't want this to fall apart every time you book an acting job and have to leave town and can't make it. This program is designed for actors, not for people with predictable Tuesdays.

And you get personalized onboarding and a results tracker — so we both know what you're building, and I know when to come find you if you've gone quiet. This isn't easy work, and I come packed with pep talks 📣

By December 20 you'll have: a clearly and strategically defined Casting DNA™, an honest read and revamp on your existing materials, two fully developed scenes ready to shoot that contrast and complement what's already working on your profile, a blow-by-blow shoot-day plan, and an acting preparation framework you can run for yourself in perpetuity (aka: FOREVER).

Here's the part I want to say plainly, because it's the objection I hear most:

This system does not box you in. Knowing your prototypes doesn't take anything off the table. It changes how you come at everything that's on it. You still play the whole range — you just play it through your own throughline, and that's what makes a performance land as true instead of just competent.

You are not inventing yourself. You are not diminishing yourself. You are uncovering yourself.

One more thing. If you've read all of this and you're still not sure — don't guess. I do free 15-minute strategy calls. No pitch. You tell me where you actually are, and I'll tell you honestly whether this is right for you right now. Sometimes the answer is no. ☎️

This is a real investment, and nobody should spend this kind of money based on a web page. Come talk to me first. Ask me everything. Not just about the course - about your career, your goals, your hopes and dreams, what you want for yourself - and we'll figure out together if I can help you get there.

Enrollment is open through September 21. It's $797 until tomorrow, Tuesday September 8 at 11:59 PM PT — or three payments of $299. After tomorrow it's $997.

Here's exactly what's in it →
